About MEFCU

Our History


MEFCU was established as the Hot Shoppes Employees' Federal Credit Union in 1953. Our goal was to provide a safe place for associates and their families to save for the future, and to have access to auto loans and loans for emergencies.

Since then we've grown and changed with Marriott International and our other sponsor organizations to become a safe and secure provider of a full range of financial solutions to our members. As a not-for-profit, member-owned organization, we focus on service to our members.

Our Mission is to provide member desired financial services in a safe and sound manner.

Our Vision is to be the lifetime provider of quality financial solutions for our members--building relationships that last a lifetime.
